The college’s Sport’s Campus has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Double G Clothing.
Double G hope to support the college’s academy athletes, aged from 16 to 19 years old, in a wide range of sports, from football to netball and basketball.
The sponsorship deal includes the supply of new kits for the netball, basketball and football academy teams. The kits include; training and match balls, bibs, water bottles, carry bags, banners and trophies.
CWA Sport’s campus is home to football, netball and basketball youth academies, offering year-long programmes in addition to academic study.
The sponsorship deal will enable the talented athletes to combine academic study with continued sports training and weekly fixtures and competitions to ensure their future success both now and in their chosen careers.
Assistant Principal for Quality and Outcomes, Andrew Gedge, said:
“Our new sponsorship deal with Double G Clothing reflects our strong ties to the wider business community in the area. It will have an extremely positive impact on the students involved and enable our academy teams to push themselves even further in the coming season and compete at the very highest level.”
Double G Clothing partner, Gordon Chilvers said:
“As a local business, we are delighted to be able to invest into the futures of some of the talented young athletes coming out of the College of West Anglia’s sports academies and we are proud to be part of their journey.”
