Jaymz Rigby-Masters, owner of the Watt Salon in Downham Market, recently led an inspiring creative colour class at the College of West Anglia. The session, which was sponsored by Directions Hair Colour, provided students with hands-on experience using high-quality professional products, helping them expand their skills in vibrant and creative hair colouring techniques.
As part of the sponsorship, Directions Hair Colour generously donated a variety of their products for the class, allowing students to explore a wide range of bold, artistic colour applications. In a further show of support, all leftover products from the session were gifted to the college, ensuring that students could continue to experiment and refine their skills beyond the workshop.
Speaking about the initiative, Jaymz emphasised the importance of providing students with access to professional-grade products to support their learning and development. He stated, ‘It’s important to allow the students access to better quality products to gain experience and a better understanding in a popular area of colouring that is usually brushed aside while training’.
The creative class focused on techniques that are becoming increasingly popular in the industry, such as vivid colour blending, bold highlight, and pastel transformations. By introducing students to these skills early in their careers, the workshop aimed to boost their confidence and readiness for working with a diverse clientele in the future. (24/01/2025)
