Dance student Lauren Lloyd has been accepted into the Chantry School of Contemporary and Balletic Arts, Grantham. Lauren has always dreamed of becoming a professional dancer and she currently studies a level 3 qualification at King's Lynn campus. Lauren said: "I love every moment of my course and have learned so much about dance techniques, even going so far in my progression as to start pointe work in ballet." Despite Lauren's entry success, she now faces the challenge of having to self-fund her tuition at Chantry, as the course is not eligible for student finance. "Dance school is my dream and there are so many things that I will need to pay for on top of the tuition fees: uniform, trips, exams, accommodation. Once I start at the dance school I'll be working as many hours as possible to help cover living costs." So far Lauren has raised around £1,500 but still has a considerable way to go.
