Level 1 Hairdressing students at Wisbech campus put their creative talents to the test in an exciting competition designed to challenge their technical abilities and artistic flair.

The competition challenged the learners to follow a “Vampire Makeup” theme, blending elements of gothic glamour with striking hair designs. As part of their Final Assessment, as well as demonstrate a strong grasp of the Health & safety requirements, the students had to:
Create a complete look inspired by their moodboard
Present a professional image that captured their interpretation of the theme.
Show proficiency in plaiting and twisting techniques.
Apply temporary color effectively to enhance their look

The event aimed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the course so far, while also encouraging them to think creatively under pressure. Judges assessed the finished looks based on the overall look, the most creative hair design and the most creative make up.

After the styles had been judged Zoe Jeff won first place. Morgan Mc Carthy achieved second place, Hati Yashar came in third place and Tinotenda Zhamero was in fourth place.

Zoe Jeff said ‘This was such a fun way to show off my skills as well as everything I’ve learnt so far.'
