Men prove their points
The men won the battle of the sexes.
In the much-awaited netball challenge the score was 21-11 to the men from the College of West Anglia.
But the real score which mattered was 580 – that was the number of pounds raised, which is going to the Stroke Association.
Taking part for the men were Paresh Chauhan, Aaron Nicol, Daniel Smith, Lucas Cooper, Rob Petto, Shaun Adams, Tommy Goode and Adam Thompsett.
Turning out for the ladies were Becky Ringwood, Jacqueline Rutter, Stacy Martin, Ellen Gooding, Charlotte Barber, Alexandra Evetts and Julie Stewart.
Scorers for the ladies were Ellen Gooding, Stacey Martin and Rebecca Ringwood.
For the men, Adam Thompsett, Shaun Adams and Paresh scored.
Adam and Ellen were top scorers for their respective teams.
And the men have only won the first round, says Ellen!
Paresh and Jacqueline Rutter were the team captains.
Due to the competitiveness in the office (mainly thanks to the Active Norfolk Workplace Challenge), the team in Student Services decided to organise the unisex netball match with the teams being made of college staff to raise money for Stroke Association.
It was decided that if the men reached target of £300 the lads would play in skirts, as shown in one of our pictures.
The game was at KES netball courts.
