Executive director of partnerships Mark Reavell picked up his gym kit and headed for LynnSport to see what our sports apprentices get up to on a day-to-day basis, shadowing apprentice Owen Stannard for the day. He said: “It’s been ten years since I’ve been in a gym. It’s surprising how quick technology and equipment changes and good to know that Owen knows his stuff and can keep me healthy.” Mr Reavell had a quick gym induction before getting to test out the equipment under the watchful eye of Owen. On a day-to-day basis, Owen takes bookings for clients, fulfills consultations for re-programming and hosts inductions in the gym. He also knows body composition among other specialisms. He said: “It was really good to meet Mark. I love meeting new people and Mark has proven he knows a lot and achieved great things during his back to the floor experience. “My apprenticeship has been great, it’s amazing experience and great to be working and learning at the same time. I have one year left of my apprenticeship and would highly recommend apprenticeships to anyone considering this as a career starter."
