Press release photo Uniformed Services students at the King’s Lynn Campus are to be put through their paces on the brand new outdoor personal fitness area installed at Lynnsport, thanks to collaboration between the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk and CWA. The course is made up of 25 different elements and has been designed in association with Alive Management. It incorporates climbing walls, balance beams, hurdles, dip stations, pull-up stations, climbing nets and monkey bars. The area is not only the new home of the Uniformed Service training challenges, but also has a mutual benefit to users of Lynnsport. There are two sets of each piece of equipment, so that teams can compete against each other or people can race the course against a friend, maximising the benefits of this type of activity and supporting communications and team work. Andrew Gedge, Head of Faculty for Care and Public Services, said:  “I have been delighted that we have been able to further strengthen the links between the college and the borough council, since we moved our sports provision to Lynnsport. "During this period of increased pressures on public finances, we have managed to provide an investment that benefits hugely the communities of the college and the borough, in being able to access a high-quality facility that will support the physical health and development of its users. "The Uniformed Services programme at CWA is nationally recognised as one of the best preparatory programmes for participants to enter into either the armed or unarmed public services and this facility only enhances our ability to deliver this important employability agenda.” CWA has been acknowledged for their partnership work with the Royal Air Force by being awarded their Platinum Partner Award. This was given to CWA in praise of their uniformed services courses and the high number of students who successfully progress to join the RAF.
