The college Apprenticeship Awards 2019 took place on 5th March at Knights Hill Hotel.
Over 100 friends, family and employers attended the awards evening alongside representatives from Anglian Water Alliances, who sponsored the evening.
The awards ceremony coincided with National Apprenticeship Week 2019, a nationwide annual celebration of apprenticeships will bring the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy.

Nineteen awards were handed to college apprentices for outstanding work and study in many different fields from engineering and hairdressing to horticulture and brickwork.
The awards were presented by principal, David Pomfret, head of engineering at Anglian Water Alliances, Mark Froggatt, and John Clarke.
Electrotechnical Apprentice of the Year, Summer Harrison and Christopher Russell received the Kevin Clarke Award. Kevin Clarke, a former college electrical apprentice, was killed in a car accident in 1984. His parents, John and Janet, recognise two electrical apprentices each year in his honour.
David Pomfret, said: “Tonight we have recognised the outstanding achievements of the hugely talented apprentices who study at the college and work with our employer partners throughout the region. The annual CWA Apprenticeship Awards showcase the diverse and growing range of sectors engaged with apprenticeships, whilst celebrating the outstanding apprentices, employers and individuals who go above and beyond to champion apprenticeships across the region."

"We value highly our partnership with employers and I was delighted that in a recent Ofsted inspection, inspectors not only judged the college to be good in all areas (including apprenticeships) but recognised our productive partnerships with employers and other local stakeholders to ensure that provision meets regional skills needs well.”
All of the night’s winners will go forward to be judged and whittled down to three lucky finalists, who will then be invited to the college’s annual student awards in June of this year to find out who will be named as the college's overall Apprentice of the Year 2019.
