Show team does the double
Our team was delighted when it did the double at this year’s South Suffolk Show.
For the second year in succession the Cambridge campus, assisted by the marketing department, won the trophy for the most innovative trade stand.
Head of faculty Alison Barber was presented with the award, supported by Louise Frost from marketing.
Among attractions on the stand this year were two large two tractors for youngsters to ride on.
“We were thrilled to win the award again,” said Alison.
The show is held at Ampton racecourse at Ingham near Bury St Edmunds. It attracted big crowds despite being held in terrible weather.
Our pictures shows Alison and Louise holding the Challacombe trophy with many members and young supporters of the show team celebrating the award.
The award was presented by 2014 Show President, Mr Fred Branwhite, whose Great, Great, Grandfather was elected to the then Show’s Committee on May 10, 1894, which meant on show day his family have been involved with the Association for 120years and one day.
