It covers all aspects of specialist support including planning, delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher; bilingual support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice.

This qualification requires learners to complete a mandatory work/industry placement experience throughout the duration of the qualification, before certification.
Learners must achieve all 16 mandatory units - 32 credits
You must be 19 years or older in the previous academic year to access this course.
It would be advantageous to have some recent, relevant experience within this sector at level 2 and/or hold a level 2 in Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification but it is not essential.
You must be in a paid or voluntary role in a suitable workplace setting for at least 10 hours a week.
You should ideally hold a GCSE grade 4 or above or a Level 2 Functional Skills qualification in English. An assessment may be carried out to determine suitability if you do not have this.

Flexible
Delivery is remote and flexible. There is no mandatory attendance in college for this course as it is work based.

There is no funding available to receive this qualification fully funded. You will, however, be able to apply for an advanced learner loan (ALL) to cover the full cost. Alternatively, you can pay the full course fee in three equal monthly instalments
NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching & Learning
This is a work-based qualification with online delivery of training in small cohort groups
You will be assessed in the workplace and have observations carried out by your appointed assessor
You will have assignment work to complete, and you will be expected to gather workplace evidence to meet the criteria
