A log run at Bawsey, completed by students from uniformed services courses at the College of West Anglia, turned out to be a resounding success on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 March.
Teams of eight students overcame wind and rain to carry a hefty log along a mile-long course together, in a stamina building team activity.
The annual event united students from uniformed services courses from CWA’s King’s Lynn and Wisbech campuses.
Those students not carrying the log still took part, supporting and encouraging members of their teams, made up of varying abilities and year groups.
Making sure they set an example, lecturers, many with forces backgrounds, also ran the course through the woodland.
Jo Evans, uniformed services lecturer at CWA, said: “It was very cold and very windy; we even had sleet at one point! There are certainly a lot of bumps and bruises among those who took part but everyone thoroughly enjoyed it – a great team building exercise.”
