College West Anglia Students and Staff raise money for BBC Children in Need
Students and staff at the College of West Anglia have successfully raised over £250 for BBC Children in Need, hosting fundraising activities to support the 2022 appeal.
This year, BBC Children in Need asked the nation to Join The Great SPOTacular and fundraise to help make a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
CWA childcare students at both King’s Lynn and Wisbech campuses held their own fundraising activities. Wisbech childcare students organised a wear your pyjamas to college day, and asked staff and students for donations for taking part. The group raised £100.64. King’s Lynn childcare students wore spotty clothing to college and created a spotty Pudsey selfie board in support of BBC Children in Need.
Hair and beauty students at the King’s Lynn campus offered a variety of treatments at The Salon to fundraise. Treatments included back, neck and shoulder massage, mini facials, Pudsey face paint and nail art. The group raised a total of £153.
One member of staff said:
“I would like to say a huge thank you to all staff and students who took part to raise money for BBC Children in Need. It was great fun supporting such a great cause and to know we have raised money is a fantastic feeling.”
