College of West Anglia (CWA) music students performed at Festival Too this summer. Having created the band, SKETCHEAD, as part of the Play Up Music Project at CWA, band members Joe Bailey, Jacob Bailey, Fearne Ketteringham, Alfie Kramarchuk and Sam Hill made their debut at Festival Too in King’s Lynn this summer.
The band's formation in the autumn term of 2023 led to their first performance at the college in December, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication.
Jacob, Alfie, and Joseph are currently studying Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma in Music, whilst Fearne has just completed her qualification. Sam is undertaking a Creative Media Production and Technology Extended Diploma.
John Kramarchuk, Course Director for Level 2 and Level 3 Music Performance and Production said, “SKETCHEAD is an example of the progress our music students can make in a short time. In just nine months, they have progressed to the level of professional performance, culminating in a slot at Festival Too.
The music department at CWA has recently undergone some changes, including an upgrade to the recording studios and a widening of the course, to encompass more transferable skills by embracing music for film, music for gaming and live audio engineering.”
