Students from all three campuses Wisbech, King’s Lynn and Cambridge campuses recently took part in MEI FE Maths Challenge, sponsored by AQA. This is nationwide competition is designed to test problem-solving skills, boost confidence, and encourage students to apply their mathematical knowledge in a fun and competitive environment.
During the challenge, students tackled a variety of activities including a Tarsia puzzle, where they matched mathematical expressions in a domino-style format, and a fast paced Kahoot quiz that tested their speed and accuracy under pressure. The event encouraged critical thinking, teamwork, and resilience – key skills for success in both exams and future careers.
At the Wisbech campus, Maddison Stewart and Courtney Anderson emerged as the top performers earning a place in the regional finals at Harlow College. They will now represent CWA against other top-performing students from across the region.
