Hair and Beauty students raise money for local hospice
Over the course of the last academic year, hair and beauty students at the College of West Anglia have been raising money for The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, in Hillington.
The students held a tombola, raffles, cake stalls, dressed up for the day and held a pamper evening in aid of the hospice. In total, £296.63 was raised.
The Norfolk Hospice provides care, comfort and compassion to those in our community nearing the end of their lives and to their families and friends.
Student Catherine Arnold said: “It was a group decision to raise money for Tapping House but it was down to each individual that it has been so successful. It’s a worthy, local cause and it’s close to our heart as one of the girls’ granddads is receiving care from the hospice.”
Jess Walker, the community fundraiser for Tapping House, said: “We really appreciate support from the College of West Anglia. The events held to raise this money sounded great and we are thankful for the hard work that the students have put in.”
