King's Lynn Mayor, Carol Bower, hosted a charity fundraising dinner at the College of West Anglia's Novus restaurant this week. The 'Come Dine with the Mayor' event saw hospitality students cook and serve a multitude of scrumptious courses from home smoked salmon with truffle mayonnaise, to spinach and sweet potato dahl. 36 guests attended the evening, and around £650 was raised for the Mayor's selected charities: The Purfleet Trust and One to One Project. CWA students received high praised for their food, service and professionalism, with guests describing Novus restaurant as 'the best kept secret in Lynn'.
