The college has launched a new campaign to recruit governors to the board.
The college has campuses across King’s Lynn, Wisbech and Cambridge, teaching a variety of different subjects from foundation to degree level, apprenticeships and commercial training to over 7,000 students.
The college is looking for individuals with backgrounds in education, business, finance, auditing and HR who can use their skills to provide strategic leadership for the college as well as oversee its educational and financial performance.
Governors are asked to attend up to 12 meetings per year, usually held on a Wednesday morning. Governors are also invited to attend college presentations and other events.
As a governor, you will bring valuable experience to the board to support and challenge senior leaders. Being a governor is an opportunity for you to ‘give back’ to the local community, enhance your own professional skills and to make a positive contribution to the college and the local area.
The college has recently a ‘good’ rating by Ofsted, judging it to be good across all eight areas of inspection: effectiveness of leadership and management; quality of teaching, learning and assessment; personal development, behaviour and welfare; outcomes for learners; 16 to 19 study programmes; adult learning programmes; apprenticeships; and provision for learners with high needs.
