Uniformed services students at the King's Lynn Campus have climbed the three peaks in aid of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, previously known as the Army Benevolent Fund, offers financial aid to British Army soldiers and their families in times of need. The college’s uniformed services students have been supporting the charity throughout the academic year through a number of events and activities. One of these activities was climbing the three peaks – the highest mountains in England (Mt Scafell), Scotland (Mt Ben Nevis) and Wales (Mt Snowdon). Students completed the Mt Snowdon climb at the end of last year. A climb of Scafell was due to take place in March but weather conditions quickly deteriorated and the attempt was called off for safety reason. However, this was more than made up for when the students recently tackled Ben Nevis and Scafell just a day apart.

Programme manager Lee Mallott said: “I am really proud of the uniformed services students. They performed extremely well and the weather conditions were great, even for Scotland!”
