Students at the College of West Anglia have been celebrating with family and friends, after receiving their A-level results today, Thursday 18 August 2016. CWA A2 (full A-level) grades had a pass rate of 100 % with 56 % of students achieving A*-C grades. Delighted Emily Butler, 19, achieved an A* in English language/literature, an A in sociology, a B in her extended project and a C in history. Grinning from ear-to-ear she said: “I was so relieved! I am overjoyed with all of my results.” “I will be going to study English at King’s College London before hopefully studying a masters in theatre studies.” Molly Day-Coombes, 18, was thrilled with her results also, receiving an A* in law, an A in English, and a B in history. She said: “My results were completely unexpected, especially for law! I’m glad my hard work paid off and I can now look forward to starting the University of Lincoln in September, where I will be studying History. I loved my time at the College of West Anglia and couldn’t have asked for better teachers.” Other successful students included Michael Bang who achieved two B’s and Sophie Darnbrough, 19, who achieved AS results gaining an A in art and design, an A in Media and a B in Film. She said: “I felt like crying when opening my results, as I was not expecting to get two A’s.
