Computing students from the College of West Anglia’s King’s Lynn campus have been raising money for charities close to their heart. With a little help from the students in the hair and beauty department, Dan Edge braved a leg wax, while Ashley Crump opted for a beard and moustache shave. Between them, they have raised approximately £100 for local charity, Megan’s Challenge. Ravi Hewagamage also braved the leg wax, in aid of Cancer Research, raising around £100. He said: “I chose this charity as unfortunately almost everyone knows someone that has been diagnosed with cancer or has had cancer, so this is my way of doing something to help others.” Sue Hewitt, progress coach for computing, said: “The students approached me and said they would like to do a fundraising event to raise money for charity. I admired their enthusiasm; it was all their own doing. I gave support where needed but it was all down to them. Computing staff contributed by donating money to the charities instead of sending Christmas cards to one another last year.”   [gallery grids="News" image_size="large" tiles="true" ids="12946,12945,12944,12943,12942"]
