Students from both the Wisbech and King's Lynn campus recently joined Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service to host a charity car wash.
Learners from the uniformed services course and National Citizen Service programme scrubbed and waxed over 70 motors at Wisbech Fire Station to raise a whopping £800. The proceeds will be evenly split between The Fire Fighters Charity and ABF The Soldier’s Charity.

The Fire Fighters Charity supports fire and rescue service personnel (active or retired) and their eligible dependants through a number of services such as health and wellbeing programmes, family support programmes and physiotherapy and recuperation programmes. ABF The Soldier’s Charity offers financial support to British Army soldiers, veterans their families during times of need.
Uniformed services programme manager Lee Mallott said: “Raising £800 was a resounding success and exceeded all our expectations. Well done to all those involved working hard to clean the cars! More importantly, thanks to all the generous members of the public; many of whom personally thanked us for our efforts which was very humbling”.
