Inclusive Learning
School Leaver / 16 - 18 yr Old Vocational CoursesThis Inclusive Learning course is aimed at young people who wish to develop their skills in visual and creative arts. The course is broad in its content and offers experiences in many of the specialist areas of Art & Design.
Individual projects will explore 2D and 3D design, ceramics, print making, painting and drawing and textiles. In addition, sessions to support career development, teamwork and enterprise are also offered.
Access to specialist studios once a week combined with theory-based sessions complete the course. Class sizes are small with support available as appropriate.
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements, students are expected to show willingness to learn, participate in and develop skills in a college environment. In addition, an artistic ability suited to the requirements of the course.

All of our foundation courses are 3 days a week and are a year long.

Information on Fees and Financial Help
Depending on your age, course, educational history and personal circumstances, there may be options available for you to receive a course fully-funded by the government. Our fee calculator will help give you an idea on whether you'll be able to have your course fee waived or covered by an Advanced Learner Loan.
If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.
Gateway Certificate in Art & Design
Assessment is ongoing and consistent throughout the year.
Evidence is collated via an initial screening process and then regularly with LEARN.
