Macmillan stall tower block Students at the College of West Anglia at King’s Lynn went for the big-time when they had to raise money for a needy cause. Their health and social course required them to use their technical skills to do something for others. Sixteeen-year-old Beth Minns and her friends used the social area of the tower block at the college and charged stallholders for space to sell their goods, which included handicrafts, gifts, books, Christmas items and other products. Beth Minns, 16, dressed as Father Christmas and sold raffle tickets at the door, supported by her elf Leah Harrington, 17, and Lucy Bentley 17. They used social media and local radio to help them publicise their event. All money raised during the evening will go to Macmillan Cancer Support. And Beth said that with some counting still to be completed, they think they may have raised around £140 from the stalls and raffle.   Little fundraisers…Father Christmas Beth Minns and her little elf Lea Harrington played their part in their Macmillan fundraising event in the tower block at the College of West Anglia.
