85 year 5 and 6 pupils from Greyfriars Primary School visited the College of West Anglia on the morning of 17th June to get a taste of some of the course areas on offer.
Beverley Barrett, Head Teacher said about the visit: “The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit to CWA today. It has been a fantastic opportunity for them to find out more about college life; the college staff & students have been brilliant and organised some great activities.
The day has been a culmination of 'our aspirations week & has really helped to inspire the children with their dreams and goals for the future'.
Henry Ryder, 10 said "It was really interesting and I learnt a lot. I particularly liked the hairdressing because I learnt to do a new skill – a plait!"
Daniel Beech, Schools Liaison Coordinator said: "All the pupils were exemplary in their behaviour and all the college lecturers commented on how well they listened and how excited they were by all the activities.”"
The event will be repeated as part of future aspiration week activities at the school.
