[gallery ids="3166,3165"]   The CWA Motorsport Team has received a welcome donation from the Wisbech Round Table (357). The £500 donation will go towards the operating costs of the college’s Mini Cooper race car, which has been built and run by students studying Motorsport at CWA. The car is currently being run in Class ‘E’ of the Track Day trophy series run by Motorsport Vision. A cheque was presented yesterday on behalf of the Wisbech Round Table by Chairman Sam Smith. “The Round Table wants to support the performance of our local students, both practically and academically. Hopefully the money will help support the team in being successful in forthcoming races” said Mr Smith. The team have just returned from Brands Hatch this week where they have been putting the car through its paces testing different setup configurations. “We wanted to find a good setup for Brands as this was the first time the mini had been round the circuit” said Chris Middleton, driver and lecturer of motorsport at CWA. The team are preparing for the next round which is at Brands Hatch on Saturday the 16th May. Find out more about Motorsport courses at CWA here - https://www.cwa.ac.uk/engineering-motorsport.html
