Microsoft Office Specialist - Word - Part-time

This course is an introduction to Microsoft Word 2016 and leads to Microsoft Certification in either the Word Core exam 77-725 or Word Expert exam 77-226 enabling learners to demonstrate their ability to effectively use Microsoft Word to accomplish business-oriented tasks.

  • Course Description

    The course enables learners to use Microsoft Word 2016 to achieve the following:

    Core modules

    • Create and manage documents
    • Format text, paragraphs and sections
    • Create tables and lists
    • Apply references
    • Insert and format objects

    Expert modules

    • Manage and share documents
    • Design advanced documents
    • Create advanced references
    • Create custom Word elements

    You will have the option to choose your preferred exam but it is recommended that you sit the core exam first.

  • Entry Requirements

    Whilst there are no official entry requirements, basic computing skills are required.

  • Course Length

    The course runs every Thursday from 6pm. Tutorial sessions are generally one hour long but there are three two hour sessions: week 1 (set up), week 5 (progress check) and week 10 (exam preparation).

    Practical exam in controlled environment.

This programme will run twice throughout the academic year with courses beginning on 12th January 2021 and 22nd April 2021
