What will I do on this course?
On this course, you will:
- Learn about the ageing process
- Learn about conditions affecting older people
- Gain the knowledge on how to effectively communicate with older people
- Learn person centred care for older people
Throughout the programme, you'll complete a workbook to show that you've learned the skills required to progress into the field.
During the course, we will hold a "Care Essentials" practical skills day to help you develop transferable skills for employment across the sector. This will also be supplemented with a series of optional online masterclasses to help you develop application and interview skills. You will also have access to optional online job coaching with the Apollo Project career mentors.
