Course Description

The Diploma in Sport, Fitness, and Active Leisure is the perfect course to progress to if you have completed our level 1 certificate in sports, fitness and active leisure skills and want to deepen your expertise, expand your career opportunities, and gain a more advanced understanding of the sector.

This programme builds on your existing knowledge and practical experience, helping you develop stronger leadership skills, a broader understanding of health and fitness principles, and enhanced confidence working in real-world environments.

Class sizes are small and support is available both in and outside of sessions, as appropriate.

You will also have the opportunity to carryout work experience in various vocational settings.

This course is a progression following the completion of Level 1 Certificate in Sports, Fitness and Active Leisure Skills.

How is my course assessed?

Assessment is ongoing and consistent throughout the year, this is evident via an initial screening process and then regularly via the Personal Development Plan. You will be assessed on an individual basis by the tutor and through the verification of completed portfolio units. The online PDP system allows you to log in and view your progress and targets so you are always aware of your individual achievement to date. Three progress reviews and regular staff meetings ensure that the assessment and review process continues to map individual progression.
