It is a specialised provision tailored for young people with emotional, behavioural, and social difficulties. You will be in the right environment to develop your confidence and self-esteem.

Course Description

This course provides a supportive, hands-on learning environment where you can grow in confidence, build practical skills, and develop personal skills to progress on to a mainstream hospitality pathway.

Through real-world tasks in food preparation, customer service, teamwork, and event support, you will gain valuable experience at a pace that suits you. Our nurturing staff focus on wellbeing, communication, resilience, and independence as much as technical skillshelping you to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Class sizes are small and support is available both in and outside of sessions, as appropriate.

You will also have the opportunity to carryout work experience in various vocational settings.
Entry Requirements

Assessment is ongoing and consistent throughout the year, this is evident via an initial screening process and then regularly via the Personal Development Plan. You will be assessed on an individual basis by the tutor and through the verification of completed portfolio units. The online PDP system allows you to log in and view your progress and targets so you are always aware of your individual achievement to date. Three progress reviews and regular staff meetings ensure that the assessment and review process continues to map individual progression.
