NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety - Attended
The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a nationally recognised qualification and is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK. Holders of the Certificate are entitled to Associate Membership AIOSH of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health IOSH. The qualification also meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership Tech IOSH of IOSH and Associate Membership AIIRSM of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management IIRSM.
The course is split into 2 units of study, each of which is assessed separately:

Why we should manage workplace health and safety
How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
Managing risk - understanding people and processes
Health and safety monitoring and measuring.
Unit NG2 - Risk Assessments covering:
Physical and psychological health
Musculoskeletal health
Chemical and biological agents
General workplace issues
Work equipment
Fire and
Electricity
For attended course delegates, there is also the option to undertake a revision day after the end of the course and before the examinations. This will be at an additional cost. Further details can be found on the separate course overview.
This course is aimed at managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. Undertaking the certificate helps them to manage risks effectively. There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
The fee for this course is £1733.00 + VAT, per delegate, inclusive of course materials, revision guides, tuition, initial examination entry and certification.

How is my course assessed?
Unit NG1 takes the form of an on-line open book examination and unit NG2 practical written assessment that is submitted on-line.
The examinations date for this course will fall at the end of the course. These dates are usually set by NEBOSH.
